Total Dedication
“Whatever I decide to do, I put my whole heart and soul into it”, Kyohei Sorita explains. “I need to feel satisfied with the results, even if I die tomorrow”. His radical approach seems to work, and his performances are consistently of an exceptionally high standard. Sorita was born in Tokyo, and at the age of 12, he was already sure he wanted to devote his life to music. At 14, he had set his sights even higher. “I want to be the kind of musician who can entrance his listeners”, he declared. He has now achieved this goal, and in his native Japan, concerts are sold out within minutes. In 2021, he took the rest of the world by storm with a second place at the Chopin competition, since when enthusiastic global reviews have provided further testimony to his success. Described online in the blog “Klassik begeistert” as “the magician of the ivory keys”, Sorita will be performing works by Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms and Liszt at his first Heinersdorff concert. It promises to be the stuff of dreams. Open up your heart and soul and prepare to be enchanted.
